WebNet Entry Points.

WebNet can be entered in a variety of ways depending on access requirements. Some pages are free for all to browse and others contain tightly guarded secure information.

Login to WebNet through the Front Door

This entry point requires a Login Id and optionally a password to position at the top of the category list (Home Category). Login Id "DEMO" will allow for a quick navigation down through some example categories to retrieve some sample data. Using the Categories menu drill down through Employment/Junior Positions/New Positions, then  after selecting males clicking on Select will show a sample page. Login Id "TRYIT" is a free for all access to allow anybody to take WebNet for a drive and explore its possible capabilities. Neither of these Logins require a password.

Login to WebNet through the Side Door

This entry point facilitates a link to a WebNet page from an exterior Web address, via the turnstile counters. Take care as all WebNet parameters are case sensitive.

The required parameters are:

  • Request - The value login will indicate to use the turnstile counters.
  • Login_Id - Which is the normal Login Id allocated to enter WebNet (for no password logins only).

The optional parameters are:

  • Pid - Which identifies the page to which WebNet is to be pointed at. This value can be found at the top of the page when creating it. By default it is assumed that the DHTML menu is to be used for navigation.

Login to WebNet through the Back Door

This entry point facilitates a link directly into a WebNet page from an exterior Web address. The advantage here is that you will not have to negotiate the Continue button. However you will lose the ability to track site traffic via the Login turnstile counters and the access is not password protected.

The required parameters are:

  • Login_Id - Which is the normal Login Id allocated to enter WebNet (for no password logins only).

The optional parameters are:

  • Pid - Which represents the page to which WebNet is to be pointed at. This value can be found at the top of the page when creating it.
  • User_Id - If the Login_Id is not the “User” that this Login_Id belongs to then it is required for authentication purposes. It is the User Id that is assigned when the WebNet service is established.
